Life in England

So I left my amazing fiancé in France to start uni in Oxford, after having spent like a week a part in total since we had met, this was an absolute nightmare but luckily my very good friend chloe was starting the same course as me :) everything started well, loved uni and Oxford. Tristan came to visit after two weeks and everything was perfect, until he left obviously. We realised that this whole long-distance thing sucked :P so he joined me in Oxford in november, and yes as I said a student room is tiny haha. Anyways tristan found a job as a bartender at Malmaison Hotel in february and it was all going well exept me not liking the course i was doing at uni. In end of march/ beginning of april we found out I was pregnant ( will write more about this in a separate post ). I finished my first year of uni and then decided to take a few years off to think about what I really wanted to study and to take care of the baby :)
We rented a nice little appartement and Tristan worked like crazy all summer which payed of cause he got promoted to bar supervisor by the end of august! In August we also went to Tristan's sister's wedding in the south of France.
Andreas was due to be born in the beginning of December so we moved to a bigger appartement in november to have room for the new family member :)

Our first summer together ( 2009 )

Short version of our first summer together.
We decided to spend the summer working in Antibes, but before that we went to Biarritz for Tristan's adorable godson's baptism and to have a little relaxing time before starting to work. Stayed there for 2 weeks and had a great time! When we got back to Antibes we were lucky enough to find jobs quite quickly, both of us as bartenders in Juan les Pins, meaning very long days for Tristan and late nights for me, but very fun though :)
After two looong months of hard work Tristan surprised me with a trip to Morocco to spend some time together and relax in the sun before I went to England, and as if this wasn't nice enough, on the day of our departure we got engaged :D So we spent one great week by the pool with nice cocktails and good food but, as they say, all good things come to an end and when we got back to France it was time for me to go to England and start my life as a university student while Tristan stayed in France...

Beautiful Biarritz

Engagement ring, yes i know, he's got good taste :D
